High school football season is fast approaching on the Treasure Coast as new districts for the region with the metro-suburb split for the next two seasons in effect by the FHSAA.

District 12-4S includes the region’s largest schools by population: Treasure Coast, Vero Beach, Martin County, Centennial, and Fort Pierce Central.

District 12-3S is a three-team group of all local teams from Port St. Lucie, Jensen Beach and South Fork.

Fort Pierce Westwood and Okeechobee are joined by Sebring in District 11-3S

John Carroll Catholic in an oddity for the state as one of the few two-team districts as the 6-1S district comes down to a game against Cardinal Mooney at home for the Rams on Oct. 14.

Sebastian River plays as an independent in 2022 and St. Edward’s is joined by Tradition Prep, which will play its home games at Sportsman’s Park competing in the Sunshine States Athletic Conference.
