Redeem rewards

US Bank Cash+ cash back can be redeemed for statement credit, rewards card, or directly to a US Bank checking or savings account with a minimum redemption of $25. Cash rewards expire at the end of the calendar month, 36 months after the billing cycle in which they were earned.

Rewards potential

To determine the rewards potential of the US Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® card, we need to consider what an American household might spend on a credit card each year. Forbes Advisor uses data from various government agencies to determine both basic incomes and spending averages in various categories. The 70th percentile of salaried households brings in $100,172 a year and we base our spending on that figure.

Forbes Advisor estimates the household has $26,410 in expenses that can reasonably be charged to a credit card. Assuming $4,284 is spent each year in 5% cash back categories, a cardholder would earn $214.20 in cash back each year. Assuming an additional $5,687 is spent at groceries and earns 2% cash back, an additional $113.74 in cash back will be earned. If $12,723 of remaining credit card spend is charged, $127.23 in cash back will be earned, giving a total of $455.17 in annual cash back.
