United Nations Conference on Tourism to Unite Cultures – Voice of Nigeria

United Nations World Tourism Organizations are planning events in Lagos Nigeria, to bring the world together to enjoy the history of different cultures and learn more about them.

It is according to the Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa, Dr Bobby Moroe in Lagos,
at the ongoing United Nations World Tourism Conference at the National Theater of the Arts.
“If we don’t learn and understand each other’s culture, we won’t like each other”
The Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa has commended the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism for playing a great role in promoting culture and tourism between the countries,” said Dr. Moroe.
He expressed his joy to be part of the conference, believing that the summit will bring together different cultures under one roof.
Another delegate from Spain, Mateo Haas, said Spain was delighted to be at UNWTO, noting that Madrid is the headquarters of global tourism organizations.
“I am glad that efforts are being made here in Nigeria to promote tourism
Hopefully the conference will attract investment from Spain to Nigeria and from Nigeria to Spain in tourism,” Haas said.
The three-day event, which started on Monday, brought together senior government officials from the tourism, cultural and creative sectors and various diplomats from around the world.
