Meliá will open two hotels in Crete in April

Two beachfront hotels on the Greek island of Crete – Blue Sea Beach and Marina Beach – are set to open under the Meliá Hotels International portfolio in April.
This announcement follows the Spanish hotel group’s 2021 franchise agreement with Zeus Hotels.
The development, as well as the renovation and rebranding of a hospitality unit in Rhodes will strengthen Meliá’s EMEA portfolio.
Meliá expands in Crete
In April, the island of Crete will see the Blue Sea Beach Hotel operating as a Affiliated by Melia hotel and the Marina Beach operating as one Flooring by Melia Hotel.

The five star Blue Sea Beach Hotel Affiliated by Meliá comprises 226 rooms and suites, some boasting their own private swimming pool. The hotel has ample outdoor spaces and its facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fully equipped gym, spa, two restaurants and a selection of bars to choose from.
Hotel Sol by Melia Marina Beach, a four-star hotel, has 396 rooms, most of which were freshly renovated in 2019. Facilities include two saltwater swimming pools, an indoor heated swimming pool, a paddling pool, a gym, a mini golf course and a wellness center -to be. The hotel also houses an events and conference center that can accommodate more than 300 people.
Both Blue Sea Beach and Sol Marina Beach are located near Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport, allowing easy access to nearby Heraklion.
Meanwhile, on the island of Rhodes, the Cosmopolitan Hotel, which has been welcoming guests since last year, will now welcome them in a renovated and rebranded space, operating under the Flooring by Melia umbrella.
Following its expansion in Crete and Rhodes, Meliá Hotels International’s portfolio in Greece includes a total of three hotels on the islands and one in Athens.
