Medical travel experts meet in KL

KUALA LUMPUR, November 5, 2021: The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council will host insigHT2021, the leading regional medical travel market information conference, which will take place virtually from November 16-18.
Under the theme Forging Resilience, insigHT2021 will focus on how the global medical travel industry can remain resilient to deal with uncertainties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The global severity of the pandemic has posed several challenges for the medical travel industry value chain due to prolonged blockages locally and internationally,” said MHTC Managing Director Mohd Daud Mohd Arif.
“It is crucial that the medical travel industry transform the lessons learned from Covid-19 into actionable strategies. However, if there is one thing we can take away from the pandemic, it is that cross-collaboration is crucial to accelerating the industry’s recovery and advancing our country’s health landscape. ”
Now in its sixth edition, insigHT2021 features live question-and-answer sessions with regional speakers, panel discussions, networking with experts from various industries via private meetings and uploading electronic business cards, as well as the access to on-demand videos of the conference. Topics to be covered at the conference include overhauling the healthcare system, the future of healthcare and wellness, and rebuilding hospitality.
InsigHT2021 are global thought leaders and experts in the field of medical travel. They include YB Khairy Jamaluddin (Minister of Health of Malaysia), Ir. Rizki Handayani, MBTM (Deputy Minister of Tourism Products and Events, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia), YBhg.
