Navy can be so much more flattering than black for a chic daytime look, and Spain’s Queen Letizia showed us how it’s done today as she stepped out in Malaga.

The 49-year-old mother-of-two looked elegant in a mid-length navy blue dress, with a white flower embroidered across the chest and a thin black belt drawing attention to her slim waist.

She was joined by her husband, King Felipe, at the inauguration of the Talent Tour and the proclamation of the Arts and Literature Prize of the Princess of Girona Foundation at the La Térmica Cultural Center and the Edgar Neville Auditorium in Málaga .

For today’s outing, she teamed her midi dress with a small white clutch and sophisticated navy stilettos, opting for simple gold hoop earrings.

The monarch opted for understated makeup with peach tones and shimmering bronze eyeshadow.

Meanwhile, her husband, King Felipe VI, 54, wore a light gray save suit contrasting with a bright pink tie and tasselled burgundy loafers.

The annual Tour of Talent kicked off on March 3, in Malaga, to promote a movement for the future of young people in Spain and generate a community of opportunities that connect, activate and enhance their talent.

The Spanish Royal Family was received at the Edgar Neville Auditorium by the president of the Andalusian government, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla; the president of the Diputación de Malaga, Francisco Salado; and the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, among others.

Their Majesties visited different workshops and activities in La Térmica and attended the opening ceremony, which took place at the Edgar Neville Auditorium.

It has only been two weeks since the King of Spain returned to office, having tested positive for Covid-19 early last month.

And putting safety first, the couple opted to keep their face masks on, in line with local regulations.

The Arts and Literature Prize of the Princess of Girona Foundation is designed to reward young talents involved in promising work in any discipline of arts and literature, and which serves as an example and inspiration for others. youth.

Other awards include the Social Award, the Scientific Research Award, the Business Award and the International Award, all open to young Spaniards between the ages of 16 and 35.

Tour of Talent runs until March 10 and features a range of physical and interactive workshops, from talks and shows to networking and debates.
