Indian Hotels Company opens Sawai Man Mahal in Jaipur | Kiran of Udaipur | Latest news from Udaipur

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened Sawai Man Mahal in Jaipur. The heritage palace located in the vicinity of the majestic Rambagh Palace pays homage to Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II, the last ruler of the princely state of Jaipur.
Sawai Man Mahal is inspired by the rich Rajputana heritage. Each of the 51 spacious and aesthetically designed rooms opens onto private courtyards lined with greenery. The facade of the palace is an ode to the Amber Fort and also features the 187-year-old Golden Gate, Rambagh Palace’s original golden entrance to the lobby. Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II was the first ambassador to Spain and the influence is reflected in La Mesa; the all-day Spanish themed dinner and La Terraza a stylish al fresco dining option. Guests can sample prized malts at 1835; the library-themed lounge bar with books dating back over 200 years for the company. With this addition, IHCL now has eight hotels in Jaipur, two of which are under development.
Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of the largest and best hotel companies in Asia. It operates in the luxury, high-end, mid-range and value segments of the market.
