Self-described Eva Longoria Bastón will celebrate her legacy as an executive producer and starring in the six-part series, Searching for Mexico, which premieres next year on the upcoming CNN +.

The 46-year-old actress – who has 22.4 million followers on social networks – gushed Wednesday: “The secret is revealed! So excited for this launch next year! Many thanks to Stanley Tucci for setting the bar. ‘

Eva was referring to CNN’s Stanley Tucci series: In Search of Italy with the 61-year-old Oscar nominee, who is also executive producer In Search of Mexico.

“Partnering with CNN on a culinary expedition through Mexico is a dream come true,” Longoria said in a statement.

“I am so proud of my Mexican-American roots and look forward to bringing Mexico’s hidden gems to the world through Searching for Mexico. “

On the show, Casa Del Sol’s co-founder will learn about how blue agave is harvested for tequila and how traditional mole sauce is cooked in Oaxaca among other “unique and colorful cuisines”.

Eva Tejano’s parents never taught her Spanish growing up, and she only learned the language after graduating with a Masters in Chicano Studies at Cal State Northridge between 2009 and 2013.
