Casino News | Launch of IGT in Spanish gaming and bingo halls

An agreement between IGT and Spain’s Orenes Grupo, one of the main distributors, will allow IGT content and material to enter the Spanish “salones” sector.
The agreement with Orenes Grupo was concluded by IGT Europe Gaming, the subsidiary of IGT. The first product to hit the market through the deal is Magic Fortune Link, a tiered progressive.
The Spanish salones sector has 3,000 gaming and bingo halls. The slots have a casino feel to them and lately the sites have become more video based and technologically advanced.
Mark MacCombie, Senior Vice President of EMEA Games at IGT, noted that the Magic Fortune Link has already achieved outstanding results in Spain and is “an encouraging start”.
The game has four themes, Hephaestus, Temple of Fire, Golden Secrets and Dreams of Egypt and has been specially adapted for Spanish arcades. They provide the option to enter a bonus game with hold and spin link mechanics aimed at arcade players. Players have the chance to win four progressive prize tiers, including top prizes.
“IGT is renowned for its best-in-class products with content designed to meet the unique needs of specific player segments and geographies,” said José Quereda, Director of Distribution and Sales of Orenes Grupo. “Magic Fortune Link has proven to engage Spanish gamers with its entertaining, region-specific gameplay mechanics, and represents the first of what we anticipate will be many high-performance IGT installs in salones across Spain. “
